Where we start from
Middlesbrough and Redcar are in the ceremonial county of North Yorkshire, so Yorkshire is part of our home ground rather than a distant market. Main roads such as the A19 and A66 serve Teesside.
The wider region
Yorkshire and the Humber has a population of more than 5.4 million, with five ceremonial counties including North, South, West and the East Riding of Yorkshire. Its largest settlements are Leeds, Sheffield, Bradford, Hull and York. The A1(M), M62, M1 and East Coast Main Line cross the region, and the Humber ports at Immingham and Hull make it a significant logistics area.
